- Jonas Jr. is one of the few background characters that is not possessed.
- This is the only set to contain a tentacled gloombie.
- Since the gloombie is shown holding Captain Archibald's cutlass, it is safe to assume that he is the ghost possessing Captain Jonas.
- This is the fourth set to appear in the show. The first three were 70425 Newbury Haunted High School, 70423 Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000 (these appeared in the short Face Your Fears), and 70420 Graveyard Mystery.
- Like other vehicle sets, when the soul artifact is unlocked, the boss ghost moves the boat through the water for the boss battle.
